Federal prosecutors say a developer in Orange Beach, Ala., bribed the then-mayor of the beachfront city with a partnership in a vacation home and a BMW. According to the Mobile Press-Register, developer Jim Brown split the insurance money on the house, which was destroyed in 2004 by Hurricane Ivan, with former Mayor Steve Russo.
