To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Global Electric Motorcars’ first battery-electric vehicle, a special-edition package is available on the 2008 GEM e2, GEM e4 and GEM e6 models. Options and accessories in the special-edition package include: 14-in. polished aluminum wheels (e4 and e6 models only); chrome headlamp bezels; front and rear chrome bumpers; deluxe steering wheel; tilt steering; premium carpeted floor mats; and premium two-toned seats. Each GEM car features a 72-volt battery system with an on-board charger and a 1-year limited warranty. GEM cars plug into a standard 110-volt outlet to recharge and can be driven in most states on public roads posted 35 mph or less. Global Electric Motorcars, a sub. of Chrysler LLC, Fargo, N.D.
