A Dallas police deputy chief who was accused in an internal review of working a second job while on duty has resigned. The investigators conducting the review concluded that on three occasions Chief Alfredo Saldana worked off-duty jobs at two local bars while he was also drawing pay from the city as the night shift duty commander, according to The Dallas Morning News. Saldana has denied those accusations and has been offered a job as city manager of nearby Hubbard, Texas.
