Who doesn’t love a Ferris wheel? They can be a lot of fun! But one Florida woman really… really loves a Ferris wheel. So much so that she married it last year, and recently renewed her vows to the ride on What?!, a program on LogoTV.

“I got this weird feeling I can’t explain,” Linda Ducharme said of the first time she met “Bruce” (the name she has given the carnival ride) back in 1982. “My heart was pounding as we went up the platform and got on the ride. I felt like I was being taken by this ride,” she said, according to The New York Daily Post.

This isn’t the first time Ducharme has fallen for an inanimate object. The Huffington Post reports her previous partners have included an airplane and a train. The New York Daily Post reports Ducharme even got a job as an engineer to be close to the locomotive, but the relationship fell apart after they were found out.

“I was seen in a romantic embrace with a train and subsequently, I was fired,” Ducharme told What?!, according to The New York Daily Post. Ah, the dangers of workplace romance.

But it seems Ducharme has finally settled down with Bruce. “Bruce is my world, I think about him constantly. It just completely feels right when I’m with Bruce,” she said, according to The Metro.

Now, to be clear, this marriage isn’t legally binding. Florida law states both parties must be present, in person, to apply for a marriage license, according to The Huffington Post. But that triviality won’t stop Ducharme.

“My goal is to spend the rest of my life and grow old with him,” Ducharme said, according to The New York Daily Post. “And eventually get a piece of land where we can just be all by ourselves.”
