Mooresville, N.C., Fire Training Center
Fire-Rescue program worked collaboratively to design and construct a six-story Fire Training Center on the property of the Public Services Operations Center. This facility has become a regional training center utilized by eight surrounding fire departments, two community colleges, Mooresville?s police department, street department and water department. Previously, Mooresville Fire-Rescue traveled over 45 miles to a training facility. The facility was completed in January 2013 with financing primarily from Recovery Zone Economic Development Bonds, with a small contribution from the town?s fund balance.
