Community garden
Miramar, Fla., recognizes that healthy communities cultivate economic vitality. With this in mind, the city chose a location adjacent to an elementary school and a youth outreach center to create the Miramar Community Garden. The park’s intergenerational fruit and vegetable Garden was completed in May of 2014. It set out to embrace not only cultural and generational diversity, but also bio-diversity, which would boost the vitality of the local ecosystem.
