Bandit Industries’ Model 2550 Track stump grinder is the company’s first entry in the 40-horsepower track-mounted category. The unit combines the performance of the company’s Model 2550XP self-propelled stump grinder with the versatility and go-anywhere mobility of a track-mounted machine. Bandit Industries is based in Remus, Mich.

The product features a Bandit-designed drive system, said Bandit sales manager Jason Morey. “The drive system uses turf-friendly rubber tracks while providing low ground pressure for delicate lawns and surfaces. It is easy to transport, easy to maneuver, and designed for backyards as well as the back woods.”

The stump grinder features the same 44-horsepower diesel engine and a 20-inch-diameter Revolution cutter wheel from the standard 2550. The Model 2550 Track delivers the all-terrain capabilities and good flotation found in larger track machines. The unit’s light weight makes it easy to tow, while the track undercarriage provides good maneuverability

A standard swing-out operator’s station places all machine controls to the side of the machine, giving operators a clear view of the work area. A wireless radio remote with tether backup is an available option for those who prefer to be located away from the machine while grinding.

All Bandit stump grinders (see photo above), including the Model 2550 Track, are built with a solid chassis construction using continuous steel welds. This results in a tough, durable machine capable of years of reliable service for dedicated stump grinding professionals, grounds crews or rental companies.

The Model 2550 Track features a beltless hydrostatic direct-drive that delivers smooth, direct power to the cutter wheel while reducing maintenance downtime and costs associated with traditional belt drive models. The Revolution cutter wheel comes standard, delivering plenty of cutting power and chip containment for easy cleanup.

In addition to its lineup of stump grinders, Bandit offers a variety of other products. Choose from hand-fed and whole tree chippers, Beast XP-Series horizontal grinders and forestry mowers.
