Residual salt (chloride and sodium) can cause runoff that contaminates lakes and reservoirs. Monroe Truck Equipment’s salt slurry generator reduces the amount of salt usage per lane mile, which decreases residual salt buildup on roadways and increases salt volume by 25 percent. Because there are more grains per square foot, the brine process activates faster, melting snow and ice quicker. Installation can be done on most combination bodies, V-boxes and some replacement tailgate spreaders, and the generator can be used to grind and/or spread sand and urea.
