The word ‘dangerous’ can be somewhat subjective, depending on the person. However the amount of violent crime — murder, rape, armed robbery, aggravated assault, etc. — in an area is an accurate determinant of how objectively dangerous an area is.
Neighborhood Scout, a provider of hyperlocal real estate data, found the 100 most dangerous U.S. cities by comparing the number of violent crimes per 1,000 people in cities with over 25,000 people. We’ve included the top 10 cities here. Is yours on the list?
