According to the GSA, the contract will provide federal agencies with a centralized source to acquire information technology (IT) services worldwide. GSA Administrator Lurita Doan told reporters Dec. 17 that the contract represents possibly “the most robust IT portfolio in the federal government.”

“Alliant Small Business demonstrates GSA’s ongoing commitment to supporting our nation’s small-business community as well as our federal-agency customers,” Doan said. “This contract provides GSA’s customers with easy access to innovative IT solutions from small businesses and is an exceptional vehicle for federal agencies to meet their small-business contracting goals.”

According to the agency, the contract provides streamlined access to a broad range of management and technical support services, enabling complex IT services to be acquired under a pre-competed multiple-award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. The contract, valued at $15 billion, has a five-year base period with one five-year option.

“Alliant Small Business is a key component of the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) portfolio of technology solutions,” FAS Commissioner James Williams said. “This contract allows our customers to acquire IT solutions in a streamlined, flexible manner, while meeting their socioeconomic responsibilities.”
