Small Unit Immersive Training Strategy includes 2-D and 3-D games, Web-based interactive multimedia instruction, interactive video, podcasts, real-time collaborative learning technologies and other training tools. Created with input from the U.S. Marine Corps and Army National Guard, integrated components help troops develop cognitive skills related to tactical situations. Provide on-demand training that can be administered at any time and any location, such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Developed with commercial off-the-shelf technology that operates on existing U.S. military systems, including the Deployable Virtual Training Environment used by the U.S. Marines for computer-based training. Select from two training modules. On Point module (shown) offers a 3-D game scenario to improve a squad’s execution of tactics, battle drills and decision-making skills when reacting to an improvised explosive device (IED).
