Resource: Directory of U.S. counties

"Counties USA" provides statistical, descriptive, and contact information for the 3,140 counties and county-equivalent entities in the United States. Similar information is also provided for the 50 U.S. states and for the U.S. as a whole. Statistics presented in the 675-page volume include data from the U.S. Bureau of the Census, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. This is the 4th edition of the directory. Rich's Business Directories Inc., in collaboration with Omnigraphics Inc., is offering the directory.

The volume includes contact information on state associations of counties. One section of the volume lists counties that have more than five cities with populations above 10,000. Each county entry includes population, income, and unemployment data; contact information, including web URL; date when the county was organized, and other facts.

Larry Naake, former CEO of the Washington-based National Association of Counties, wrote the foreward to the volume.
