Traffic planners and some county officials in Loudon County, Va., are concerned that a proposed 15,000-home development will greatly overwhelm the county’s roads. The Vienna-based company that wants to build the homes is promising to pay for road improvements that supporters say will ease traffic congestion despite the possibility that the development could add thousands of cars onto the roads, according to the Washington Post. Opponents say if the 15,000 homes are built there will be too much traffic even with the new roads.
