Every city has its share of economic issues. From homelessness and poverty to food insecurity and inadequate sanitation, inequity manifests itself in a variety of ways. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated many of these issues, too. But some cities have bigger issues with economic disadvantage than others.
Financial news and information site WalletHub compared 182 U.S. cities using 28 metrics related to health, safety and economic well-being to determine which cities have the neediest populations in 2021.
