Ohio governor wants to ban local governments from regulating single-use plastics
The pandemic has brought about a slew of new sanitation initiatives, including the discontinued use of reusable bags at many retail locations.
Now that more is known about COVID-19 transmission, stores are once again allowing customers to bring their own bags, and cities are hitting play on their sustainability initiatives once again.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is preparing to sign a bill that will prevent municipalities from banning single-use plastic bags, saying that “the pandemic raises health questions about banning plastic bags in favor of reusable bags and containers.”
