Co-op agreements can help meet fleet management needs
National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) recently awarded contracts in the Fleet Management and Related Technology Solutions category. Through the agreements, fleet managers in government, education, and nonprofit entities have access to technology to help monitor and manage their organization’s equipment. Go to this site for more info on NJPA.
On behalf of its current and future members, NJPA has awarded contracts to 15 vendors offering equipment and technology solutions for everything from fuel management and telematics, to maintenance/monitoring, to motorpooling and fleet sharing.
These solutions exist to give managers and workers insight into fleet usage and vehicle operations and maintenance. Having such information helps managers operate their fleets efficiently, leading to potential cost savings and decreased down time due to out-of-order vehicles. The contracts were awarded through solicitation #022217.
“NJPA has awarded an outstanding class of vendors in the Fleet Management space,” NJPA Contract Administrator Scott Carr says. “Every fleet is unique and comes with its own challenges and opportunities. The depth and breadth of products and services within these contract solutions allow fleet managers to meet those specific needs.”
Awarded following a national competitive solicitation process, the contracts were effective as of June 1, 2017. According to NJPA, the contracts will help streamline the equipment and service acquisition process, saving NJPA members time and money. Go here for the complete announcement.
