Personal finance site Wallethub ranked the 100 most populated U.S. metropolitan areas in order of obesity levels based on 17 metrics across the dimensions of obese and overweight individuals, weight-related health problems and healthy environments. Is your city on the list?
Two reports from the Centers for Disease Control and prevention found that approximately 38 percent of U.S. adults are obese and that 17 percent of U.S. teenagers are obese, CNBC reports. Obesity is defined as having a body mass index of over 30, and as this rate grows, it appears nationwide efforts to encourage weight loss don't seem to be effective.
