Choose from 3 deck offerings in mower lineup
The Z960M zero-turn mower from John Deere gives professional landscape and grounds maintenance crews power and reliability. A 31-horsepower gasoline engine powers the unit. It is available in three deck offerings – 60 inch, 60 inch Mulch On Demand (MOD) or 72 inch.
Selected mower models can be paired with one of the company’s 7-Iron PRO mower decks. The decks are stamped from a single piece of 7-gauge steel, which means there are no welds or corners on the underside for clippings to collect and clump.
The ZTrak model’s (photo to the right) durable hydrostatic drive train offers good cooling capabilities and provides easy access. The hydrostatic drive features two 13-cc unitized hydraulic pumps combined with commercial-grade wheel motors into a single unit. The product’s design ensures easy monitoring of hydraulic oil levels. Refilling of oil is also easy on the machine. One pump and one motor drive each wheel on the unit.
Several options are available with the model, including dump-from-seat Material Collection System capability and three-way adjustable suspension seats. A three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty is standard for the model.
The available Mulch On Demand mower deck offers productivity and versatility. It offers the ability to switch between side discharge and mulching operation with the flip of a lever as you mow. The system keeps clippings out of the landscaped area.
