Daikin Applied earns national cooperative purchasing contract
The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN) has awarded Daikin Applied a national contract. The award was made through TCPN’s lead government agency, Region 4 Education Service Center.
With the award, schools, states and local governments now have more options as they seek HVAC equipment and solutions to create more energy efficient and comfortable building environments.
The contract was awarded at the conclusion of a competitive bidding process designed to give TCPN members a strong position when it comes to buying commonly purchased products and services. Through the contract, TCPN members gain buying power.
Through the contract, TCPN members will have access to Daikin’s range of technology solutions, including residential and light industrial as well as commercial HVAC systems. TCPN members will also be able to access the firm’s services, which include maintenance agreements and repair services, and turnkey solutions for HVAC system replacement and upgrades, as well as start-up services and rental chillers for temporary cooling.
Minneapolis-based Daikin Applied designs and manufactures commercial HVAC systems for customers worldwide. The company offers Magnitude magnetic bearing chillers that deliver 40 percent more efficiency than standard chillers, according to the firm. The company also offers Rebel commercial rooftop systems that create air conditioning part-load energy efficiencies (as high as 20.6 IEER). The rooftop units surpass ASHRAE’s 90.1 performance standard by 84 percent, according to the firm.
