Coming soon: 2015 APWA Congress (with related video)
Join nearly 6,000 public works professionals in Phoenix for the American Public Works Association (APWA) International Public Works Congress & Exposition. The show takes place August 30 to September 2. Long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, decorated Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell and author Dan McNichol will address general sessions at the Congress.
Attendees can choose from more than 125 technical and professional development sessions covering sustainable practices, stormwater, emergency preparedness, livable communities, career development, work force solutions and other topics. Experts from APWA’s 2015 Emerging Leaders Academy will discuss drones, unmanned vehicles, intelligent transportation systems and other cutting-edge public works technologies.
More than 400 exhibitors will showcase new products and offer prize drawings. APWA’s exhibit floor encompasses nearly 90,000 square feet. The expo/exhibit area includes a Technology Pavilion, a Green Pavilion, Central Park and a variety of New Product Showcases. The expo area also has an Exhibitor Solutions Theater, where Congress registrants can earn CEUs. Registrants also get lunch on the exhibit floor on Sunday and Monday during the show.
APWA offers Congress attendees many opportunities to meet and mingle with their public works peers—the Get Acquainted Party, Awards Ceremony and other networking sessions.
