Air-powered mixer offers no-clog operation
The GridBee AP500 air-powered mixer features a non-clog design with no moving parts and no electricity in the water. The unit is suited for mixing all types of liquids in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment tanks. Use it also for lift station wet wells and wastewater basins, as well as in ponds or as a backup mixer—wherever mixing is needed. The unit is the smallest mixer in the AP Series from Dickinson, N.D.-based Medora Corp.
The unit helps keep solids—such as wipes—in suspension as sheets instead of clumps. It helps prevent lift station pumps from clogging. The mixer also helps reduce H2S odors and corrosion as well as grease buildup.
The AP500 fits through a 12-inch hatch and can mix any depth from 2 feet to 100 feet. Constructed of 316SS and polymer materials, the mixer is portable, compact, lightweight and easily installed by plant personnel.
The unit is shipped as a complete system including the mixer, a quiet, long-life compressor and the air hose.
Medora Corp. has brands including GridBee and SolarBee. The firm provides solutions for difficult reservoir water quality problems. The company’s long-distance circulation technology can prevent and control blue-green algae in lakes, raw water reservoirs and stormwater ponds; provide energy savings, process improvement and odor control in wastewater; and completely mix potable water tanks or be used to strip trihalomethanes (THMs) from potable water.
