Court blocks Dallas waste flow control attempt
Ruling says the city violated contract provisions
A federal court has granted a permanent injunction against an attempt by Dallas to direct the city’s waste to a city-owned landfill. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Dallas said the city violated federal, state and local contract provisions.
The National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA), the waste industry’s main trade association, praised the court’s decision. NSWMA and several haulers requested the injunction.
