Exit signs
The HPL series of photoluminescent exit signs are available in framed and unframed versions. The signs absorb and store ambient fluorescent, metal halide or mercury vapor light energy, without batteries or electric power. In the event of a power outage or other ambient lighting interruption, stored light energy immediately creates a clearly visible photoluminescent panel showing the egress path to the nearest level. The signs are visible at 50 feet in total blackout. The nontoxic and non-radioactive lights offer a 25-year life. They meet NFPA Life Safety Code 101, NEC and OSHA requirements, and are UL924 listed. Special wording and 8-inch letter models are available.
