EMTs needed to test out iPad app
PEPID, a developer of clinical decision-support information and technology, is calling for iPad users to help test the latest version of its subscription-based software suite used as a reference tool for point-of-care practitioners. The software is designed specifically to take full advantage of the iPad’s large screen and user-friendly functionality, said Edward Reynolds, the company’s chief technology officer.
PEPID includes a vast database of disease profiles and medical conditions, coupled with medical and dosing calculators, a drug interactions checker, illustrations, laboratory values and a differential diagnosis generator or symptoms generator. While emergency medical records may be a future application, Reynolds said the current version does not contain patient data.
