LumiGrow ECC LED light bulbs for greenhouses and environmental control chambers use 75 percent less energy than the incandescent bulbs they replace, according to the manufacturer. The LED bulbs produce red and far red light, which is not produced by compact fluorescent bulbs. The bulbs are equipped with a dimming feature that allows users to fine-tune light levels. The LumiGrow bulbs, which screw into standard sockets, operate on 17 watts of power, saving more than 500 kilowatt-hours annually.
