A study by three non-profit groups gives Missouri credit for some progress in reforming its election laws but says the state has some more improvements to make. The joint report by Common Cause, the Century Foundation and the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, ranked Missouri in the middle of 10 states studied for progress in fixing recent voting problems, according to St. Louis Today. The state’s new law against spreading misinformation about voting earned positive comments, but the report says the state’s proposed voter ID law and other factors may affect voter turnout.
