Hawaii County needs to find a new place to dump treated sewage from its Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the developer of the Shores of Kohanaiki golf course is about to need water for irrigation. The two entities are now considering an arrangement that would solve both problems, according to West Hawaii Today. The county would upgrade the Kealakehe plant to send treated recycled water to the golf course.
