Charleston, W.Va., is about to throw out its old ward map. A redistricting bill under consideration by the city council would redraw ward boundaries to make them more in accordance with the law, meaning hundreds of voters will be represented by different council members, according to The Charleston Gazette. The law requires that each ward represent a relatively even percentage of the population, but the current wards vary by nearly 700 people.
