The book begins with an introduction explaining the security mission, its fundamentals, risk assessment, networking and security threats. The book is then divided into two parts: The Treatment and Analysis of Risk and Emergency Management and Business Continuity Planning. Part One contains 11 chapters, which discuss risk, vulnerability and threat identification, risk measurement, quantifying and prioritizing loss potential, cost and benefit analysis, other risk analysis methodologies, an overview of the security survey, management audit techniques and the preliminary survey, the survey report, crime prediction and determining insurance requirements. Part Two consists of eight chapters, which discuss mitigation and preparedness, response planning, business continuity planning, plan documentation, crisis management planning for kidnap, ransom and extortion, monitoring safeguards and the security consultant.
