Blood alcohol-monitoring device takes steps to curb drunk driving
Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor (SCRAM) ankle bracelet samples subjects sweat as often as every 30 mins. to measure blood alcohol content. At least once a day, wearer is required to be within 30 ft. of a modem placed in his home or place of work. Bracelet uploads test data to modem, which sends results to web-based service.
