Feds loosen Va., Md., ‘No Child’ rules
A head count of homeless people In Los Angeles County, Calif., found that more than 90,000 people there are homeless, 35,000 of which are chronically homeless.
The federal government has loosened regulations for Virginia and Maryland in enforcing the No Child Left Behind standards. According to the Washington Post, the move ended five months of conflict between Virginia and federal education officials. Washington Post
