In an effort to reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS, Los Angeles County, Calif., will allow the sale of syringes over the counter. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Board of Supervisors voted to allow pharmacies that register with the county’s Department of Health to sell up to 10 syringes per customer without a prescription.
