Hawaii copes with U.S. Supreme Court marijuana ruling
A recent national study rated Baltimore and Albuquerque as the U.S. cities with the highest rates of drug-related deaths in the country.
Hawaii U.S. Attorney Ed Kubo says the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to make medical marijuana use illegal will put an end to a state program that treats 2,500 patients with the drug. According to the Honolulu Advertiser, Kubo added his office would not prosecute medical marijuana smokers, however, doctors who continue to prescribe the drug can be prosecuted on misdemeanor charges.
