Five law enforcement officers were brought out of retirement Monday to begin patrolling downtown Reno, Nev. The officers are part of the cityÕs plan to clean up downtown and make it more appealing to visitors and residents, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal. In addition to adding the patrol officers, the city has temporarily banned new liquor licenses downtown, reduced the number of city signs from 58 to 16 and installed hanging flower baskets.
