Jessica Sprajcar, conservation program manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources' Office of Conservation Science, took this photo in June at the Poole Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus, Pa. The site was one of eight visited by 80 municipal officials, landscape architects, educators and others as part of the Lehigh County, Pa., Sustainable Landscapes Bus Tour, an event coordinated by Sprajcar's agency. The tour visited examples of green infrastructure in the county, such as the green roof on the building in the background. Read more information on the state's Sustainable Landscapes Program.
