Newark, N.J.'s Press Information Office took this photo on Halloween of Police Detective Gennaro Ortiz, who appears at more than 100 police community events throughout the year dressed as Batman and driving his Batmobile. Detective Ortiz promotes public safety and urges children to stay away from drugs and gangs. The Batmobile is a 2010 Camaro that Ortiz personally modified to resemble the vehicle of the "Batman" movies. Halloween marked Ortiz's 20th anniversary as Newark's Caped Crusader.
