Last month, the Fort Myers, Fla., Fire Department was joined by several other departments for live fire training in an old hotel. Ileana Foell, public information officer for the department, took this photo of a firefighter extinguishing a blaze under realistic training conditions. Live fire sessions are used to help train firefighters who have not yet responded to a structure fire.
