All aboard, Seattle

Jon Cecil, planning manager for the Capital City Development Corp. in Boise, Idaho, submitted this photo of Seattle's 2.6-mile South Lake Union streetcar line taken on a trip last month to tour the new system. The line connects Seattle’s growing South Lake Union and Denny Triangle neighborhoods and waterfront park to the downtown retail core. The $52.1 million project opened Dec. 1, 2007, and was funded using federal, state, local and surplus property proceeds. http://www.seattlestreetcar.org
