Health Reform

Health reform activities are occurring nationwide as states and local governments implement changes required by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The $960 billion PPACA aims to expand health insurance coverage to 32 million more Americans using a combination of Medicaid expansions, subsidies, tax credits and mandates.

American City & County follows legal, legislative and policy changes and that affect state and local government activities to implement health reform.
