Prem Kuchi has joined Pearl River, N.Y.-based On-Net Surveillance Systems (OnSSI) as director of research and development. Previously, he was vice president of technology at Jacksonville, Fla.-based Duos Technologies. In his new position, Prem will oversee work on the next generation of OnSSI's Physical Security Information platform. Prem has more than 10 years of experience in the intelligent surveillance community. At Duos Technologies, he developed video content analytics software. He holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University and has authored several technical publications as well as patented various technologies.
Brent Baer has joined Wendell, N.C.-based KIOTI Tractor, a division of Daedong Industrial Co., as territory manager for the Canadian province of Ontario. Previously, he was the district manager for Echo Power Equipment in Ontario. Baer has more than 20 years of experience in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, plus the sales and marketing of a wide range of farm, lawn and garden equipment, and recreational power products. In the newly created position, Baer will be responsible for helping KIOTI Tractor dealerships across Ontario grow their businesses. He also will be responsible for hiring new and replacement dealers and act as liaison between KIOTI and its dealers and customers in Ontario.
Bruce Mawhirter has joined Watertown, Mass.-based VHB engineering firm as chief civil engineer. Previously, he was manager/chief civil engineer for Woodbury, N.Y.-based Cameron Engineering and Assoc. In his new position, Mawhirter will join VHB's Land Development Group with responsibility for administering the quality assurance and quality control of engineering plans and design submissions. Mawhirter is a LEED-accredited professional and earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree, with a specialization in environmental engineering, from Hofstra University in Long Island, N.Y. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York and is active in several professional organizations, including the National Society of Professional Engineers, where he served as president of the Nassau Chapter.
