Baton Rouge, La., has purchased a gunshot detection system from Mountain View, Calif.-based Shotspotter to augment the city's existing video surveillance system over an 8-square mile area. The Montgomery County, Md., Police Department has purchased 234 stun guns from Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Taser International. The San Bernardino, Calif., Police Department also purchased 120 stun guns.
