The Los Angeles City Council is looking for a way to regulate the installation of cell phone towers in the Hollywood Hills. The area under the Hollywood sign is notorious for dropped calls, and cellular companies are trying to compensate by installing more transmitters on telephone poles, according to the Los Angeles Times. But residents don’t like the extra tall poles and are concerned about health risks, so two city council members have proposed an ordinance that could give the local government more oversight on the installation of those transmitters.
