Remus, Mich.-based wood chipper manufacturer Bandit Industries sponsored NASCAR driver Parker Kligerman in the Nationwide Series Kansas Lottery 300 in Kansas City, Kan., on Oct. 2. “Having the opportunity to be a part of such an exciting race team is simply awesome,” said Travis Lint, large equipment sales manager for Bandit Industries. “Parker is an amazing driver with a very bright future in this sport. He's a man of integrity who works hard, just like the Bandit family. We couldn't have picked a better driver and team to support as a major sponsor.”

Bandit Industries teamed with the Pelletier Brothers, a Millinocket, Maine-based logging company, to sponsor Kligerman and the Bandit Industries/Pelletier Brothers Team 42 Dodge Charger. “The Pelletier Brothers were with us for [a previous race at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway],” Lint said. “They're one of the reasons we stepped into the NASCAR arena. They're good friends, and having them as a partner just makes this whole thing even better. From the forest to the track and back, Bandit will continue building relationships through sponsorships such as this.”

Kligerman has nine ARCA victories and was 2009 ARCA Rookie of the Year. He made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at the Kansas City race last year, starting from the pole as the No. 1 qualifier, only the 10th driver in the history of the series to claim such a feat. And, at age 19, he's also the youngest driver to ever claim the pole at Kansas.

Since then, he has continued to maintain a good record despite a part-time schedule in the Nationwide Series, including a ninth place finish in his first race with Bandit Industries last month. A week later, Kligerman finished eighth in Montreal. “I can't wait to see Parker take the Bandit Industries/Pelletier Brothers Team 42 Dodge Charger to victory lane,” Lint said before the race. “Whether or not that happens this weekend, I know the Bandit family, our customers, and our friends will be rooting for our team, all the way to the end.”
