Web portal identifies government selling opportunities
The portal provides a unified search index of targeted government RFIs, RFPs and contract awards. Also included in the index are 85,000 reports from 20 information technology market research firms such as Datamonitor, Forrester and Frost & Sullivan, and 20,000 stories daily from 6,000 Northern Light Business News sources such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.
Government-specific sources on the portal include Centurion Research Solutions, EagleEye, Infobase Publishers and FedBizOps.gov.
When users find opportunities or documents that they wish to explore, they can click through directly to the opportunity and associated research at the provider’s site (if they are subscribers to the services), or directly to the document on the publication’s site if the desired material is from Northern Light Business News.
“The federal government alone represents a single customer comprising 20 percent of the U.S. economy. The amount of goods and services purchased by the federal government using an open contracting process staggers the imagination,” said Northern Light CEO C. David Seuss. “Yet most companies have almost no visibility into the RFI, RFP, contracting and subcontracting sales opportunities that they could be pursuing. SinglePoint Government Opportunities Edition addresses this reality by surfacing opportunities that can be acted on immediately.”
The SinglePoint Web tool features MI Analyst, which is an automated “meaning extraction” application designed specifically for market intelligence, market research and product research. The application speeds and improves a researcher’s ability to analyze reports from internal and external sources, identifying the strategy issues and suggesting the business implications of the analyzed content, according to Northern Light.
An option available to subscribers is SinglePoint Connects, which is a series of Web 2.0 capabilities that enable users to collaborate online in a variety of ways within the portal. As a result, users can more easily find, annotate and share documents in a single user interface, while the portal’s authentication system enforces the business and copyright rules on document dissemination.
Pricing starts at $96,000 per year for the SinglePoint Government Opportunities Edition. To request a SinglePoint demo, click here.
