The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is holding a Webinar on methods and reasons for collecting recyclable items at public events. The Webinar, “Public Space Recycling: New Challenges for Collecting Recyclables,” is scheduled for Jan. 17 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. EST.

Special events, such as outdoor festivals and stadium games, offer a large quantity of high-quality recyclable items, according to EPA. Three experts will address topics, including creating a concessionaire bidding process, writing vendor contracts that require recycling and working with haulers to make recycling profitable.
