Florida county hands out cell phone button guards
In Pinellas County, Fla., some of the older model cell phones that are still preprogrammed to dial 911 when the "9" key is pressed or bumped caused more than 70,000 accidental calls to the emergency communications system. Officials in the county have had enough and claim that Pinellas County is first in the nation to hand out cell-phone button guards to prevent folks from accidentially dialing 911.
