Nagin wins in N.O.
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin won back enough white voters to become re-elected, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Nagin earned 52 percent of the vote in Saturday’s run-off election against Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu. Political observers had said that Nagin needed to quadruple the 6 percent support among white voters in the primary and to broaden his appeal to African-American voters to pull off the win. http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/frontpage/index.ssf?/base/news-5/1148278011120750.xml&coll=1
