A group called Save The Waterfront And Town (SWAT) in Lake Worth, Fla., has collected 2,400 signatures to get a question on the November ballot which could let voters decide what to do with city-owned land. Community activists say that the petition sends a message to city commissioners that they are out of touch with what the people want. City leaders say they are not planning to let developers take over with city, but that Lake Worth does need development to survive. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=308&ncid=308&e=10&u=/kcra/20040820/lo_wpbf/2337996
