Navigating New Waters: Calming the Rough C’s: Contracts, Crisis and Conflict

Past Event:

The title of this first webinar in a three-part series is: Plotting the Course to Effective Contract Management.

In public procurement, much of the energy and time is spent on the front end of the process - developing the specifications, defining the customer needs and crafting the documents.  But what happens when the contract is already in place?  How do you decide to go out to bid or if you should select someone else’s contract to obtain those goods and services?  How do you conduct an analysis as to what will work best for your agency?  And once it is adopted and in place, how do you teach your customer departments to truly manage that contract through the next few years?  Putting a contract in place is just the start – the real value is brought to any organization when the actual management of the contract is done correctly.

Moderator for 3-Part Webinar Series: Tammy Rimes, MPA, Former Purchasing Agent for the City of San Diego and Procurement Consultant
