Webinar: Using Windows 8 and the New Office suite for government

Session will be part of the Oct. 16, 2012, State & Local Government Summit

The State & Local Government Summit online conference will include a session about Windows 8 and the New Office suite.

The latest version of Windows and a New Office software suite is soon to be released. A webinar on Oct. 16, 2012, will introduce government IT managers to the new platform for mobile devices and new software as part of the 2012 State & Local Government Summit.

During the one-hour session titled, "How the upcoming releases of Windows 8 and the New Office offer government new opportunities," Microsoft representatives will demonstrate the new touch interface and features of the familiar office productivity software. They will describe Windows 8 and Office 2013 and how it can be useful for government agencies.

The webinar, which will be held from 4:15-5 p.m. EST on Oct. 16, is part of the State & Local Government Summit, a one-day online conference that includes five education sessions and a virtual exhibit hall.
